James went birdwatching today with his Mommy and big brother. He insisted, however, that he do his work through the wrong end of the binoculars. When I asked him about this experience over dinner, he began bouncing and giggling in his chair.
“Daddy, the birds cheeped before me!”
Today, James reminds me to find delight in my own peculiar way of looking at the world.
God doesn’t view the world the way we do either. James challenges and makes one think about different ways of seeing and doing things. I like that about him. Thinking outside the box is a good thing.
I love you James! To see the world through the eyes of a child…what a blessing that would be.
